As part of Voce’s commitment to providing leadership in developing, encouraging, and promoting broad public awareness and appreciation of choral and vocal performance, Voce is actively involved in several important educational and outreach projects to benefit the community.
Voce is excited to announce the inauguration of an annual Voce Music Student Scholarship Program for local high school seniors planning to major in music in college. The Voce 2010 and 2011 scholarships are funded in part by a generous matching grant from The Beethoven Society of America.
For 2010 (the first year of the Voce scholarship program), current seniors at Herndon High School involved with the school’s choral program were eligible to apply. In future years, students from additional area high schools will be eligible for the scholarship.
Voce is pleased to announce that the 2010 Voce Scholarship recipient is Herndon High School senior Mary Peterson, who will be attending Shenandoah Conservatory.
Details about the 2011 scholarship program and all application materials will be available here soon.
