Come hear Voce perform over Labor Day weekend at the Abbey Road on the River Beatles Tribute Festival. Voce will join more than 75 bands from around the world at the Gaylord National Resort at National Harbor. Voce's performances are at 5 pm on Saturday, Sept. 3 and 2 pm on Sunday, Sept. 4. Voce Chamber Singers will present a free concert on Saturday, August 13 at the Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, 6901 Sudley Road, Manassas. The venue will open at 7 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Free parking will be provided next to the amphitheater. In case of inclement weather, the show will be rescheduled for August 14.
Voce's concert is titled, "I'll Follow the Sun" and will feature a cappella interpretations of Beatles favorites and music with the theme of love in the summertime. The performance is part of the Summer Evenings Under the Stars series, made possible with funding from the NVCC Educational Foundation. Series sponsors include County Chevrolet and NOVEC. The Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA) and the National Endowment for the Arts has awarded Voce a $6,000 Project Grant for the 2010-2011 season. This grant will support Voce's November 2010 concert featuring Cuban composer and pianist José María Vitier and the U.S. premiere of Vitier's Ave María por Cuba.

The Arts Council of Fairfax County has selected Voce to receive an $8,570 Project Support Grant for the 2010-2011 season. This generous grant will support the U.S. premiere performance of José María Vitier's Ave María por Cuba and his celebrated Misa Cubana in November 2010.

Voce is thrilled to announce a very special concert collaboration for November 5-7, 2010. One of Cuba’s most celebrated composers and pianists, José María Vitier and his wife, the lyricist Silvia Rodríguez Rivero will travel to the United States for Voce to present the U.S. premiere of their Ave María por Cuba as well as perform their glorious Misa Cubana. With the singers of Voce and a superb 14-piece chamber orchestra, the concerts will feature José María Vitier as guest pianist. Voce Chamber Singers and Artistic Director, Dr. Ken Nafziger, have enjoyed a 10-year relationship with Vitier and Rivero, and last collaborated to great acclaim in April 2000 for the U.S. premiere of Vitier's Misa Cubana.

The 2009-2010 season marked the inaugural year of this annual Voce program to support local high school seniors planning to major in music in college.
