Paul Patton, VOCE Accompanist

Paul Patton is Director of Music at Emmaus United Church of Christ in Vienna, Virginia. In addition, he is the Director of the Vienna Choral Society, and is an adjunct professor of religion at Northern Virginia Community College. He resides in Vienna with his wife and two daughters.

Paul received his Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California and his Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music. He received his Master of Divinity degree and Master of Sacred Theology from Yale University Divinity School and the Yale Institute of Sacred Music. He has studied at the Staatliche Hochschule f?r Musik in Hamburg, Germany, and with concert pianist Susan Starr in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Patton worked for the Dutch National Ballet (1979-1985) and New York City Ballet (1987-1990) as a rehearsal and performance pianist and participated as a solo pianist in gala ballet performances in Berlin, Cologne, London, and Amsterdam. He also served as repetiteur and orchestral pianist for the Bremen Opera House in Germany [1974-1976, 1978] and faculty accompanist-coach for the San Francisco Conservatory of Music [1976-1977].
