Joan Winter Skerritt, Executive Director

Joan Winter Skerritt has sung with Voce and served on its board of directors since 1992, including serving several terms as board president. She has been Voce's Executive Director for six years. She actively promotes Voce within the greater Washington DC arts community and works to expand development opportunities for the ensemble. Joan holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Research Methods and a Master's degree in Sociology, both from Brown University. She brings more than 20 years of proposal writing and editing experience to Voce. Her clients have included the CDM Group (Chevy Chase, MD); the Center for Community Education, School of Social Work at Rutgers' University (New Brunswick, New Jersey); the Department of Human Services, County of Hudson (Jersey City, NJ); and the Santa Clara County Office of Education (San Jose, CA). Joan's husband, Michael, and four children, Benjamin, Kimberly, Elizabeth and Jennifer are some of Voce's biggest fans.
